    Description

Erie 2300 Stilwell Arch Windows Coach North West Short Line Brass HO Unpainted  North West Short Line imported the cars from Japan.  Originally built with Arched Windows, these cars were later modernized with squared windows.  These cars were used by the Erie Railroad for a large number of coaches that made up the railroad’s commuter fleet used in suburban New Jersey and Cleveland. The unusual design was built by the Standard Steel Car. Co. of Hammond, Indiana in June, 1926.   the car follows the distinctive design created by Lewis Buckley Stillwell, a pioneering electrical engineer and industrial designer who consulted for the railroads.   The Erie Stillwell cars were built without electrical gear, but left the provision for conversion in the future. With features selected specifically by Erie president F.D. Underwood, these were the most modern passenger cars of the day.  The passenger car comes with original box and full foam. Please allow .75 for insured domestic shipping and handling. Foreign bidders please email for a shipping quote.
