    Description

Title: Monumental Bronze Statue of Imperial German Soldier
Description: This incredible life-like bronze done by Alois Mayer (German
1855-1939) is absolutely breathtaking. Standing at a little over 18 1/2" tall, the soldier proudly presents and waves his pickelhaube in the air with a stout pose with his bolt action rifle with sling at his front. Carrying a variety of field gear including his pack, ammo pouch, bayonet, canteen and more the quality and appeal of this piece is superb. Beneath his feet lay a plaque that has been hand engraved and dedicated the piece to  T
he officer corps of the K.B. Sergeant School. The quality of the bronze is incredible and the visual appeal from every angle makes this piece
truly shine. Bottom back of the piece is signed a.mayer. Soldier stands on a tiered stand giving him a further patriotic and magnifying pose.
Condition: Great. Under the left armpit there does appear to be some sort of decay/flaking of sorts. It is still extremely
    structurally
sound but it does look a bit unusual.
    Approx Measurements: 18 1/2" tall, 5 1/4" by 5 1/4" base. Weight: 8.3 lbs
