POWER ON:
after connecting the maintainer to a battery with at least 4 V residual, the program automatically proceeds from led # 2 to led # 3 (program resets once disconnected)
CHARGING AND CHECKING THE CHARGE:
in
FIRST PHASE
a pulse current of 0.6 A max. is supplied, in order to prepare the low voltage battery to receive a normal charge. Charging time from 15 minutes to max 2 hours (LED # 2 flashes). In
SECOND PHASE
the maintainer supplies a constant current of 0.6 A to the battery, up to a voltage of 14.2-14.5 V (LED # 2 remains steady on). There
THIRD PHASE
includes a battery verification circuit (LED # 2 remains on constantly)
MAINTENANCE OF THE BATTERY:
in this phase the float charge periods and the voltage retention test alternate every half hour. Through this last process, the maintainer is able to check if the battery is able to remain above 12.4 V for the entire duration of the operation. (LED # 3 stays on), otherwise it returns to LED # 2
Full charge time of a discharged but undamaged battery is slightly less than 2x of the battery's Ah rating, so for a 12Ah battery it shouldn't take more than 24h to go to stage 3 (for very discharged batteries it may take more hours )
