    Description

Rare 2 Page WWI German Death Card for DECORATED SOLDIER, Shown Wearing Them, Shot in the Chest, Has Complete History/Military Biography
    DESCRIPTION:
Nice 2 page, FULL LENGTH WWI German death card for a highly decorated soldier shown wearing them in a great photo. He was KIA by a shot in the chest. HAS A VERY UNCOMMON FULL PAGE OF MILITARY BIOGRAPHY:
Specifically, "the valiant youth Johann Wilhelm, Unterofficer in the 19th Reserve Infantry Regt, 2nd Company, HOLDER OF THE IRON CROSS & THE MILITARY HONOR CROSS, who was heroically KIA on June 18,1918, aged 24, as a RESULT OF A SHOT IN THE CHEST. He is buried in the Bouillonville soldier's cemetery near Thiocourt."
GREAT FULL PAGE PHOTO of this young man wearing uniform and medals, with his hat on the table. On the reverse is a very nice patriotic/military battlefield depiction. ALSO ON THE REVERSE IS A RARE FULL PANEL HISTORY IN GREAT DETAIL OF HIS SERVICE, WHICH I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE.....starting with his birth in 1894, joining the Leib Regiment (Alpencorps) in 1914, veteran of a variety of campaigns INCLUDING THE SOMME IN 1916 AND FLANDERS IN 1917, before his death in June 1918.
Extremely difficult to find WWI soldier death cards anymore, but I am selling part of my collection and have a few to offer.
This is a particularly interesting and nice looking card, with a particularly great history, in excellent condition.
Original card, more than 100 years old, and a nice face and story to a very young soldier who otherwise would be a forgotten statistic.
No additional postage with multiple purchases.
Items are sold ONLY as historical artifacts and I respect any bans of such items in any countries where bids cannot be accepted.
A DIFFERENT, MUCH MORE UNUSUAL, AND HIGHER QUALITY DEATH CARD VS. THE MORE COMMON ONES GENERALLY SEEN ON EBAY.
    PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS!!!
