VERY RARE 1996 Trendmasters I Dream Of Jeannie Fashion Doll NRFB Locket Bottle.
The most common dolls in the Trendmasters I Dream Of Jeannie line of dolls are those from 1997, and they are named after episodes (episode #1 The Lady In The Bottle and episode #2 My Sister The Homewrecker, for example).
This version came first in 1996 and is very rare. To my knowledge, there’s only one style, Jeannie in her most well known outfit (unlike the 4 styles in the 1997 line).
This one comes with a hairbrush in the shape of Jeannie’s bottle, a child’s pendant (it’s called a locket but I’m not sure if it opens…it certainly doesn’t look like a locket (see closeup pic) and a pair of pink shoes. Unlike the 1997 dolls, this one did not come with a stand.
As is the case with most of these dolls, the cardboard box is not in great shape. It’s worn around the edges and has a few tears. The top of the box is no longer attached because the glue stopped holding years ago, but I taped it in 4 spots to keep it in place.
I hope this doll finds its way into the home of a true collector who will cherish its beauty and rarity.
