Description
Vtg. Royal Bayreuth Kingfisher Bird Creamer German Art Pottery 1920s-1940s. This wonderful vintage porcelain milk pitcher or creamer is a fine example of German art pottery, made in the 1920s to 1940s by Royal Bayreuth. The figural porcelain / ceramic pitcher is of a kingfisher with a fish in his beak. He has a burnt orange stomach and green and blue feathers on his back and head. The pitcher has no makers mark but is stamped Germany in orange on the bottom. The pitcher is in very good condition, with a few small nicks or rubs to the paint. It also looks like it lost a sliver of its feet in 2 spots, which was then repainted, either in the factory or later. It's noticeable only on close examination. There are also a few tiny white paint dots on one side, which do not detract from the beauty.
Please see pictures for details.
Size: About 5 inches tall (base to beak top) x 4 inches wide (beak tip to handle edge) x 4.25 inches deep.
Have a wonderful day!
