WW1 German Air Force Aircraft - AVIATION ALTIMETER - Fokker Albatros - VERY RARE

Description

You are bidding on an EXCELLENT and VERY RARE example of a WW1 German Air Force / Fliegertruppen Aircraft Altimeter!  Produced circa 1918, it was used in various monoplanes, biplanes, and bombers.
Made of brass and steel by Luft, this 8000m altimeter is in VERY NICE used condition!  Some marks and wear, but nothing that detracts.  The glass is 100% intact, and features a rotating bezel that indicates, "Flugplatz Anzeiger Verstellbar", so the pilot could set the current altitude at the airfield.  Two of the mounting tabs are missing, but those could easily be copied/replaced if one wished.  The side-mounted correction table is still attached!  Appears to respond to air pressure, but not sure how accurate.  Would make a
FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
